Oak Studio

The Oak sisters have gone above and beyond creating this studio from scratch. We had more Babes show up for this event than any other AND we have had a majority of the Babes come back for more!

Oak Studio came from a pretty classic story of two women leaving their corporate jobs to follow their passions, and we couldn't be more happy that they did. If you're looking for a yoga studio that offers you a chance to relax AND get fit, this is probably the place for you.

Oak Studio, located in Gahanna, offers Power Yoga, Bootcamp, Sculpt Flow (yoga with weights), Slow Yoga Flow, Vinyasa Yoga, and endless workshops/events. I'm sure most of us have multiple gym memberships to get our high intensity workouts and yoga workouts in. But, Oak Studio allows you to break a sweat, lose weight, get stronger, and get your zen on all in one place.

So, what did the Babes get into at Oak Studio? An energizing, exhausting, sweaty yoga sculpt class!

Our class was about 80-85 degrees. It was a decent mixture of yoga, weights, and cardio. Just when we thought we were done with an exercise, that's when the pulses came! We sweat through the squats, burpees, jumping jacks, bicep curls, tricep extensions and lunges. Our instructor demonstrated each exercise before we did them to ensure we had proper form.

What makes this studio different from other yoga studios? Besides the offering of high-intensity classes, this studio wins in my books for vibe, culture, and cleanliness.

My rating: A-

Pros: Clean, they have a shower and changing room, tons of natural light and greenery, extremely friendly and welcoming, tons of workshops and events, free coffee/tea, free yoga mats to use, class varieties, price is lower than similar studios, they're on ClassPass

Cons: Parking can be awful on weekends because they're located next to SuperChefs. They also don't have a ton of class times because they're still new, but that should change down the road!
